Kudos to the San Francisco Symphony, which always opens the Chinese New Year in fine style with a special program devoted to Chinese music. The lively program starts in the lobby pre-concert with exciting performances by the Women’s Dragon Dance team doing their intertwining of the dragon’s body held up by long sticks in their hands as they run around each other in perfect rhythm to the drum beats.
